METCAL THE STSS POWER SUPPLY
The STSS power supply from METCAL is similar to
the METCAL MX-500 power unit, but the STSS has only ONE output socket!
NOTE: The MX-500 has two output sockets. However, only one socket may
be used at a time.
The STSS generates 40 watts RF output at 13.56MHz and works from the 230V
AC mains. The soldering hand piece with cartridge tips and 'TALONS', and
also the de-soldering gun, are identical to those used with the MX-500
PSU.

The METCAL SP200 is a general purpose, inexpensive, value for money solder station. The SP-200 may be used for a wide range of soldering applications, including SMT and conventional components. The SP-200 power supply produces 35 watts of RF power at 470KHz. Solid State Electronics offer a range of accessories for the SP-200. PLEASE NOTE: The cartridge tips used with the METCAL SP-200 are NOT compatible with the STSS/MX-500 solder systems. There is no talon or de-solder gun for use with the SP-200.
